Artist Status Definitions

The Blue Ridge Fiber Show defines artists categores as follows:

• Emerging Artists engage in hand weaving, hand spinning or hand felting as a pastime or hobby, and/or have less than 5 years experience.
• Experienced Artists generate income by marketing their work or teaching fiber arts, and/or have 5 or more years of experience.
• Junior Artists are 18 years of age and under.
